Evolution
From Darwin’s theory of evolution, it states that our ancestors were monkeys and apes, that evolved through harsh environments and adapted to new lifestyles. We human beings are said to be the results of “successful” evolution, being able to use our brains to solve most things in life.
Similar species
Besides the monkeys, there are other similar primates. The most commons ones found are apes, orangutans, gorillas and chimpanzees. Most people tend to mix them up from time to time as they all share identical features. But one key trait that monkeys have are its long tails. This feature is what separate monkeys from other primates.
Monkeys in space
During the Cold War, in the midst of the Space Race, monkeys were used as a substitute instead of humans for trial runs. The first monkey sent to space was Albert II, launched on the 14th of June, 1949 in the US.
